GOT Can we truly enjoy a party without worries or vulnerabilities? This social design project rethinks safety in festive contexts, where collective enjoyment often coexists with latent risks.

The proposal: reinventing the party cup. A simple container transformed into a protective device, capable of almost autonomously controlling the entry and exit of substances without compromising its essential function: serving and drinking. Focused on user experience, we conducted a research process that included interviews with our target audience, from which a user persona emerged to guide the project’s development. Market viability is also a key factor: this cup not only has a place in the market but could be implemented in partnership with large festivals or community celebrations, adding another layer of value through customization. With vinyls or screen printing, the cup becomes a medium for identity and visual communication at each event—serving both as a keepsake and as a tool for safety.

The design process culminated in a prototype with a rotating lid offering three usage positions: closed, open for direct drinking, and open for straw use. This simple yet effective mechanism enables an intuitive interaction resolved with a single movement. We chose this straightforward gesture for its coherence with the festive experience.

Designed to protect without obstructing, this cup is more than just an object—it is an invitation to rethink how we celebrate, reclaiming well-being and safety as integral parts of having fun.
